THE PLAYBOY COVERS
This series was a re-imagining of vintage Playboy magazines from the 60s and 70s. I spent a few months sourcing them from all over the world at the request of a private buyer. These covers came from antique shops in New Orleans, vintage Bookstores in Paris + New York, garage sales and speciality suppliers down under.
I picked several covers and re-worked them with a slightly more femme gaze. Each cover's florals have been positioned in a way to make the reader question the original intent of the image. In some cases, I substituted the original model poses with one of my own Bloom Girl images. For other covers, I flower-bombed the masculine intention.
This series actually had 15 covers, as commissioned by a private buyer. I only ever released a small handful to the public for sale.
