About Your Host

With a sincere love for storytelling that has taken her from pedalling her bicycle to her local video store in the Australian outback, to sharing stories on a global stage, Charli is a heartbreakingly honest artist, writer, and filmmaker known for her striking vulnerability, signature slick wit, and insightful commentary on art, love, and authenticity in the digital age. Her writing has rattled the outer corners of the internet, clocking millions of impressions and hundreds of thousands of re-shares and views.

Drawing on a courageous ability to examine the darker, more shameful parts of what it means to be a person, Charli’s work explores the profound truth of the human experience, tackling our best and worst moments with a captivating blend of honesty, heart, and humour. A self-confessed ‘vulnerability addict & weird kid,’ Charli empowers people to embrace the uglier parts of themselves through her insightful takes on the challenges of living an honest life in a performative era, incorporating her signature mix of philosophy, psychology, and her lived experiences into her work.

Her personal artistic philosophy - ‘show me something real’ -  champions her belief that humanity’s capacity for greatness lies in the transformative power of love and acceptance through radical vulnerability, affirming that we are all capable of turning our darkness into something achingly beautiful, if only we are brave enough to open up and confront it.

Charli holds a mirror up to the gap between societal expectations and who we actually are, shining a light on the things we all feel, but are terrified to talk about. Her work delves into themes of heartbreak, grief, love, art, sex, shame, failure, forgiveness, purpose, mental health, anxiety, depression, social media, and identity.

In 2023, she wrote and performed her debut play, Bloom Girl, at the renowned Thomas Dixon Centre before evolving it to include more of her life experiences, delivering a raw and refined run at the historical La Boite Theatre in 2024. Bloom Girl, which is inspired by true events, tells the story of ‘an influencer who, after blowing up her life trying to say something real on a theatre stage, is paired with a shit-hot actor she’s only ever voice-mailed to salvage her play, risking both her career and her connection with the most intriguing man she’s never met.’

Charli is also currently working on her first book, a collection of interwoven personal stories exploring how 10 unique and unforgettable connections with 10 boys inspired transformative shifts in her life and art. The book creatively examines the intersection of art and love, specifically highlighting the profound impact our romantic connections can have on our lives, all while unpacking the challenges of what she has coined...being a 'Millennial Romeo.'

Beyond her writing, Charli has spent over a decade honing her skills in storytelling and creative direction, ideating and executing large-scale creative projects. Her work spans short films and music videos, live shows, events, advertising campaigns, and artwork. She has collaborated with globally recognised brands, including Prada, Hermès, Uniqlo, Universal Music, Warner Music, Converse, David Jones, and Westfield, showcasing her ability to craft compelling stories for some of the world’s most iconic names.

Charli is a natural born storyteller.
